The GreenCool project, funded by the European Union, aims to develop environmental awareness among university students and promote sustainable development across diverse age groups through large audience events. As part of this initiative, the project partners are committed to creating innovative online course materials and integrating sustainable development into higher education curricula. Recognizing the influence of young advocates, the project also reaches out to all age groups at cultural events and festivals in various European Capitals of Culture, encouraging environmentally conscious activities and sustainable development participation. The project equips students with communication tools and sustainable attitudes to become effective advocates for the EU’s green economy and culture.
To achieve its goals, the GreenCool project involves a series of activities, including comprehensive research, surveys, and focus-group interviews with influencers. A key output is the “Greenfluence Practices Collection,” a best practice compilation. Additionally, the project will develop a Massive Open Online Course (MOOC) titled “Attitude Shaping Communication Techniques and Green Related Topics in the 21st Century,” available on both Moodle and a public interactive platform. The project also includes an international summer camp and workshop, the “C1 GreenCool Summer Workshop,” held in Hungary, where students and influencers will finalize the training material and learn to promote sustainable development effectively.
