The kick-off meeting of the Erasmus KA220 Self-SDG project took place at the University of Vechta, Germany, on January 11th and 12th, 2024, being skillfully hosted by RCE. Participants exhibited their enthusiasm for joining a project dedicated to promoting education for sustainable development, collaborating an exceptional team of professionals.

After addressing initial formalities and providing a comprehensive overview of project objectives and financial considerations, the consortium took initiative by organizing a design thinking workshop. This session focused on brainstorming ideas for the mobile application, covering critical aspects including initial research, workflow, data privacy, and enhancing user engagement. The participation of Remus Baltariu, ASSIST Software‘s Head of Product Design, proved invaluable to the workshop’s success.

The meeting successfully achieved all its objectives:

• The coordinators clarified the general conditions regarding finance and budget.
• Partners’ roles and responsibilities were agreed upon, and initial project activities were defined.
• Pedagogical and didactic considerations for the SDG app were discussed and accepted by all members.

With a clear understanding of the project goals and tasks, all members are committed to progressing confidently towards the overall objectives, envisaging a high impact on education for sustainable development.
